5 Reasons to Enter Business Awards

The entries for the Cardiff Business Awards close a week today so we thought we would write this month’s blog post on why your company should enter a business award (in particular the Cardiff Business Awards).

Cardiff is growing rapidly as a centre for economic activity and as a great place to work and live.

Not only are financial and professional services firms being attracted to relocate to the city but existing companies are expanding and there is an exciting new start-up scene in sectors such as life sciences and the digital economy.

The Cardiff Business Awards will recognise outstanding achievement in business and celebrate talent, ambition and innovation from across Wales' capital city.

Business awards are a great thing to get involved with. No matter what the size of your company or the industry or sector your company is in there is a business award out there for you to win.

Business awards allow companies to be given the recognition that they deserve both internally and externally and can really help businesses to grow, enter new markets and find new clients.

Here are our 5 reasons why your company should enter a business award:

grapevine - credibility

Winning an award can help boost your business’ credibility. It offers your customers a quality assurance and a way of differentiating yourselves from competitors. Even if you don’t win an award, being nominated is a sign of approval of what you are doing is right and an award win can be used as a testimonial for the company.

grapevine - recognition

Winning a business award puts you as the front runner in your industry and above your competition. You have been recognised for the great work you do and it also helps you to recognise and reward the hard work for your employees.

grapevine - marketing

Being shortlisted for an award can be as beneficial as winning in terms of marketing for your business. Award organisers will be posting your company name across all of their marketing materials creating exposure for the awards and intern, exposure for you. If you do win the awards you can then update your own marketing material with the award logo to maximise PR exposure.

grapevine - build your network

Winning a business award allows many doors to be opened for you. You will be in an environment with other participants, businesses and advisers so this is a great time to network. These awards can help find new clients and customers which could lead to new business for you.

grapevine - boost motivation

A win for a company is a win for everyone; bosses and employees alike. Winning or even being shortlisted for an award gives you the opportunity to recognise the contribution of your employees. This will boost workplace morale as they will be able to feel proud to be part of a company that is successful.
