With Christmas just around the corner it’s time to take a step back and look at some of the amazing events we have been involved with this year.
Look back on 2019…
2019 has been a year full of exciting events for Grapevine. We launched three brand new awards; the Wales Legal Awards, the Wales Transport Awards and most recently, the Wales STEM Awards and alongside our favourites, the Cardiff Business Awards and the Wales Start-Up Awards. We also event managed the inaugural FinTech Awards Wales and second annual Finance Awards Wales. Along with all of this, we were busy with corporate events throughout the year, including; organising the Cardiff Gate International Business Park office launch party, managing the SEWCASS Summer Ball and organising a launch event for FinTech Wales.
This year also saw an exciting opportunity for Grapevine, as back in 2018, Director of Grapevine – Liz Brookes, was appointed as a Trustee at the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame which lead to Grapevine assisting with their Annual Roll of Honour Dinner (along with meeting Ryan Giggs).
It has also been another successful year for Cardiff Business Club, with some fantastic speakers including; Simon Fox – Chief Executive of Reach Plc, Nick Wheeler OBE – Founder of Charles Tyrwhitt, Warren East – CEO of Rolls Royce and His Excellency Robert Wood Johnson – US Ambassador. With 2020 just around the corner and full calendar of events, next year is looking to be another great year for the Club. 2019 was also the second year of Grapevine’s involvement with Swansea Bay Business Club; helping them with their day-to-day administration. We look forward to continue our involvement with them in 2020.
Looking ahead to 2020…
2020 is already looking very exciting for Grapevine. With the launch of the Wales STEM Awards last month, we are looking forward to bringing this to life, along with working on all our other events throughout the year. We also have a new adventure we can’t wait to share with you in the New Year!
