What? Urdd National Eisteddfod 2018
Description? The Eisteddfod is a competitive festival with over 15,000 children and young people under the age of 25 competing during the Eisteddfod week in various competitions such as singing, dancing and performing. They are the elite few from around 40,000 competitors across Wales who have won their place following local and regional rounds held in the spring months leading up to the Eisteddfod.

What? Volvo Ocean Race, Cardiff Stopover
Description? Last October, the Volvo Ocean Race fleet set off from Alicante, Spain on a race around the world, visiting 12 cities touching six continents - and for the first time in its history the race will stop in Cardiff, Wales from 27th May to 10th June 2018. The Volvo Ocean Race festival site, called the Race Village, will be located on the scenic Cardiff Bay Barrage. The two-week free event will host a variety of entertainment and Volvo Ocean Race-themed attractions.

What? FOCUS Wales 2018
Description? FOCUS Wales is a not-for-profit organisation, established to provide an annual showcase event for the Welsh Music Industry. Our core work centres around the delivery of our annual multi-venue festival taking place in Wrexham each Spring, which places the music industry spotlight firmly on the emerging talent that Wales has to offer the world.

Description? The annual Ambassadorial Lunch will be taking place at the Marriott Hotel on Wednesday 23rd May 2018 at 12pm. The Dutch Ambassador Simon Smits will be in attendance. Simon Smits was appointed as the Netherlands Ambassador to London in 2015

What? BBC Radio 1's Academy
Description? Between Monday 21 and Thursday 24 May, BBC Radio 1's Academy will be based at Swansea Grand Theatre. With a week of free events for 16 - 24 year olds, the Academy aims to provide exciting career advice and inspiration, and includes a host of live broadcasts, performances, star Q&As and workshops with industry professionals and famous faces.
